Dean's Message

On behalf of all our faculty and staff, I welcome you to the Asper School of Business! You have joined a vibrant community of learning brought to life by the energy and commitment of students from across Canada and around the world.

At the Asper School, we take learning beyond the classroom, so be sure to take full advantage of the student groups, organizations, events and conferences that happen on campus. Better still – contribute your skills to help organize an event: It’s a great way to meet people and make connections.

If you want to make your own learning come to life, consider applying to participate in the Asper Co-op program – through organized work terms, you gain relevant career-related experience...for pay! Our International Exchange program can send you around the world to gain international academic experience – an awesome way to experience a new country and culture. The Associates of the Asper School of Business – Manitoba’s premier business network – are committed to sharing the wealth of their knowledge and experience with Asper students through networking events and guest lectures, while the Young Associates organize activities that connect you with Manitoba’s up-and-coming leaders.

We want to make sure you get the most out of your years at the Asper School, so be aware of – and make use of – the services that exist to help you succeed. The Undergraduate Program Office is your one-stop location for assistance with academic matters. The Career Development Centre is the place to explore career options and is your direct link to organizations looking to recruit outstanding business students and graduates.

As a student of this School, you represent the Asper brand of excellence, relevance and leadership – always, no matter where you are or what you are doing. Your track record as an undergraduate student comes not only from your GPA, but also from the contributions you make to our community of learning and our reputation as a premier site of business studies in Manitoba and Canada.

Enjoy your year: Work hard, play safe...and learn lots!
