What is the Association of International Management Students? AIMS’ mission is…. • To enhance the experience of our faculty’s International Students while studying at the University of Manitoba • To help integrate incoming exchange students and provide them with a support network • To create the opportunity for students to gain international exposure and to forge international contacts Why join AIMS? • To meet people from and learn about the cultures of Asper’s exchange partner schools from around the world including France, Netherlands, Brazil, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico, Iceland and many more! • To contribute to the growth of the International Exchange Program and the Asper School of Business • To be better prepared for the International Exchange Program or for living and working abroad • To improve your organizational and interpersonal skills in an international setting • It’s a great way to enhance your resume and have an amazing time doing it! Why be an AIMS buddy? AIMS provides support services and plans events for international management students. We couldn’t do this without the help of our AIMS buddies. Each of our incoming exchange students are paired with an Asper student before they arrive. Being a buddy requires as much or as little time as you can volunteer. Our buddies help during airport pickups and drop offs, give answers and advice to their international buddy, and participate in any or all of the AIMS events throughout the term. If you’re interested in going on exchange or living abroad, have been on exchange before, or just want to meet people from different countries and cultures, AIMS is an excellent opportunity to gain international contacts and meet friends from across the globe.
