The President's position is an elected position that has many responsibilities. They oversee all of the CSA Council members and sits on many external committees. They work with the Dean's Office and UMSU to better serve the students of the Asper school. |

The Vice-President of Operations is also an elected position. They are the 2nd-in-command beside the president. Their role is to oversee the many large-scale events and communications. They also sit on external committees with the president.

The Vice President of Finance on the Commerce Students' Association works closely with the controller to perform the CSA's daily accounting functions. The VPF ensures the financial viability and sustainability of council. The VPF approves and monitors budgets, writes cheques and invoices, as well as makes judgment calls regarding over/non budget expenses that come up throughout the year. The VPF's primary goal is to ensure that there is ample cash to run the CSA's events and services. |

As Director of Programming I am responsible for overseeing the Commerce Socials chairs, the Shinerama Charity Campaign chairs, the Grad organizers, and the Sports representatives in all of their events. As well I am directly responsible for Buddy Day and the Commerce Students' Association retreat and other events the CSA takes part in throughout the year. |

The Director of Corporate Relations goes out into the business community with the Managers of Corporate Relations to help bridge the gap between Asper students and the business community. They help find new corporate sponsors for CSA/STAG events and find an new annual Honorary President for CSA. |

The UMSU Representatives are elected officials who represent the students of the Asper school of Business at all University of Manitoba Students' Union meetings. They vote on UMSU policy, give and receive feedback from other faculties representatives, and forward that information onto the student body.

The Development Officer is responsible for the administration, promotion, and management of the Commerce Students' Association Endowment Fund. They answer directly to the President and work closely with the Dean's Office and the current and recent graduating classes to ensure that funds are raised for the betterment of the general student body. They also are responsible for communicating and promoting the numerous awards available to Commerce students throughout the year.

The Executive Assistant is an essential role for ensuring the CSA runs successfully. This person is responsible for taking and distributing minutes for all CSA council/executive meetings, handling the supplies and equipment for the CSA, in addition to preserving the institutional memory of the organization. Furthermore, the Executive Assistant is an aide to the President and acts as a liaison with the President between the CSA and student groups. |

The Faculty Advisor is a faculty member chosen by the CSA president and vice-president. They act as a liason between the CSA and the faculty or Dean's Office. They also serve as a mentor and resource for the CSA executive and council.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the effective communication of all CSA events to the student body via classroom talks, the bulletin board, bathroom calendars, and TV. They are also responsible for signing out booths, enforcing the Poster Stamping Policy. They ensure all students are aware of all the opportunities and services that the CSA provides.

As the International Communications Co-Chairs, we organize two events; a year-opener social which showcases different cultures through food and entertainment, and the annual Chinese New Year's celebration. The Marketing IT Coordinator has similar responsibilities to the Marketing Coordinator. They are responsible for the effective communication of all CSA events to the student body via this website, bi-weekly emails, and other mediums. They also manage the CSA and STAG email lists. Just like the Marketing Coordinator, they ensure all students are aware of all the opportunities and services that the CSA provides.

BottomLine Co-Chairs are responsible for receiving articles, editing, writing, and formulating the layout and pictures for the CSA newsletter, The BottomLine. The position also involves contacting all members of the CSA and getting familiar with all the events throughout the year. The BottomLine is run completely by students so it is our job to stay current, and keep the students informed. The BottomLine co-chairs become very skilled in certain computer programs as we design and perfect our layout for each issue. Good communication and people skills are key to the success of the BottomLine. Creativity is the name of the game when it comes to the BottomLine!

Commerce Business Banquet Chairs coordinate one of the most prestigious events of the year - the CSA Business Banquet, the largest of its kind in Western Canada. Business Banquet Chairs must deal with all the logistics, planning, and creative direction of the event, secure high profile speakers, acquire support from the business community and emcee the evening.

The MIMC co-chairs oversee the premier marketing event for both the Asper School of Business and the University of Manitoba. The Manitoba International Marketing Competition is the largest marketing competition at the University of Manitoba and is the only international marketing competition hosted in Canada.

The co-chairs of the National Business School Conference (NBSC) are responsible for planning and hosting NBSC in Winnipeg each November. This year the conference takes place November 19th-21st at various venues throughout the city. Business students from across Canada attend NBSC, and use it as a forum for problem solving and idea generation. It is also an opportunity to network with some of the brightest student and professional leaders from across the country.

The Special Events Coordinator organizes the CBRE Corporate Golf Tournament, Gongshow Golf Tournament, and Investors Group Case Competition (IGCC). This year the CBRE Corporate Golf Tournament was held at Bridges Golf Course where company representatives and students were paired together for a round of golf. The Gongshow Golf Tournament is a themed student-only golf tournament that will take place on July 25, 2009. The Investors Group Case Competition (IGCC), is a one day case competition held at the Asper School of Business. Hosted by investors group, teams of 4 students, and cash prizes! |

The Controller ensures that the CSA’s financial records and accounting practices are kept up to date and accurate by working closely with the Vice President of Finance. They assist the VPF in monitoring budgets, writing cheques, invoices and ensure that there is ample cash to run the CSA’s events and services.

Social Programming Chairs are responsible for organizing “Commerce Socials”, the biggest and best parties in Winnipeg. They organize the Commerce Year Ender, Back 2 Jail Social, Oktoberfest, Halloween Shocker Social, Commerce Carol Social, Mardi Gras Student Night, and St. Patty’s Day Social. The programmers are in charge of all logistical aspects pertaining to the socials including venue, sound, lighting, and entertainment. They also take care of all promotional aspects of the socials including poster design, advertising, décor, and ticket sales.

The Charity Co-Chairs participate in socially responsible philanthropic efforts, raising funds and awareness for important causes. These Co-Chairs lead the University of Manitoba's Shinerama Campaign, a national fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Research. These positions also run "5 Days for the Homeless" charity, which aids Winnipeg's homeless individuals. The Charity Co-Chairs continue to work towards a healthier enivronment, and ensure students become involved in the many fundraisers we have all year. |

Graduation Coordinators organize both the December and April Graduation dinner and dances. They organize the venue, meal, speakers, entertainment, etc. for the event. Grad is a prestigious event that is a lot of fun while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. They are also responsible for organizing grad pictures and reporting any pertinent grad info to graduates throughout the year. As well, they are responsible for the design, marketing, and sales of grad wear for the current graduating year.

Sports Coordinators enhance the lives of Commerce students by providing opportunities to interact on an athletic and social level through sporting, health, and lifestyle events. They organize intramurals, the annual Bison Car Smash, a Blue Bombers pub-crawl, a Moose pub-crawl, and maintain the Asper Sports Board, Asper Athlete profiles and any other sporting initiatives or parties put on by the CSA.

Promotions Coordinators work closely with the Dean’s office to recruit new students from high school and University 1 by promoting the excellent opportunities at the Asper School of Business. They will visit schools on career days, host the Evening of Excellence, Info Days, and other similar recruiting events, and serve as the face of the Asper School to potential students. In addition they will be responsible for coordinating and distributing business card orders for students.

The Handbook Coordinator is responsible for designing and distributing the student handbook that is available for all Asper students. They work closely with the printing company to design the handbook and also coordinate photos for all students on council and have a new CSA picture composite made to be placed in the hall outside of the cafeteria.
